The history of Galeos Miso Dressings began in 1996, when Chefs Andrei Leontieff and Gordana Smardzic opened Galeos Cafe in Newport Beach, California, a European style cafe specializing in homemade international cuisine. Schooled in the European tradition, where an appreciation for the artistry of cooking is instilled at an early age, Chefs Andrei and Gordana began to add their own personal touch to old favorites. In 1997, they co-created a miso salad dressing, which they added to the menu at Galeos Cafe. These innovative and unbelievably delicious dressings, homemade from pure and simple all natural ingredients, soon had customers clamoring for take-home portions to go. Later that same year, Chefs Andrei and Gordana launched Galeos Miso Dressings, and, along with the accolades, the orders came pouring in.

Galeos Miso Dressings were named Best National Salad Dressing by Food Distribution Magazine in 2001 and 2002, and they received the Best Low-Fat Dressings award from Gourmet Foods in 2003 and 2004. Galeos Miso Dressings have also been endorsed by Weight Watchers and are the dressings of choice for one of America's hottest new reality shows, The Biggest Losers. Featured in the January 2005 issue of TV Guide, Kelly Minner, a contestant on The Biggest Losers, was quoted as saying, "...I bought a lot of the foods that I liked at The Ranch, like Galeos gourmet salad dressing. It is lower in sodium, has 19 calories per tablespoon, and is delicious. We ate it on everything, so I ordered it online."

Falling back on his degree in structural engineering, by the spring of 2003, Chef Andrei Leontieff had personally designed all of the equipment and had set up his own bottling plant, located in Costa Mesa, California. Under the watchful eye of Chef Andrei, Galeos Miso Dressings are prepared and bottled on site, insuring quality control from start to finish, every drop, homemade in America. And the attention to detail doesn't stop there Galeos Miso Dressings come in environmentally sensitive and recyclable packaging that includes another of Chef Andrei's creations, the first full color, single seam, tamper-proof shrink-wrap that covers the entire bottle.

You have waited long enough!

The overwhelming popularity of Galeos Miso Dressings goes way beyond their remarkable flavor and versatility. Made with only the finest, freshest all natural ingredients, they contain no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives or MSG. They are low in fat, sugar, salt and carbohydrates, and they contain miso, a fermented soybean paste believed to have significant health benefits.
